A few weeks ago, a friend and colleague of mine was lamenting the fact that she was about to leave Europe and hadn't made it to Ireland, the place where her ancestors are from. Perhaps it was the wine we'd been drinking copiously at dinner or my lust for travel, but my response was "why not go together?"
